Governor of Ekiti State Biodun Oyebanji hhas warned that any filling station that hoards fuel will be sanctioned.
The governor in a statement signed by his special adviser on media, Yinka Oyebode, said erring fuel stations would be made to pay heavy fine or sealing of the business premises.
He cautioned the owners of filling stations in the state who hoard petroleum products, thereby creating hardships for the people to desist from the unethical practice.
Most fuel stations in the state, particularly in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, had since Monday closed their stations to consumers while the few open have increased their pump prices.
Consequently, the governor directed the State Task Force on Petroleum Products to ensure every station that has fuel sells to the public at recommended pump price.
